Bylaws of the Society for Hard Tissue Regenerative Biology
Chapter 1: General Provisions
Article 1: This association shall be called the Japanese Association for Regenerative Hard Tissue Biology.
Article 2: The location of the association's secretariat shall be determined by resolution of the Board of Directors.
Chapter 2: Purpose and Activities
Article 3: The purpose of this association is to promote the exchange of information and advancement of research on hard tissues and related tissue cells and their research techniques, as well as to foster friendship among members.
Article 4: To achieve the objectives stated in the previous article, this association shall conduct the following activities:
1. Academic meetings, publication of journals, workshops, etc.
2. Other activities necessary to achieve the objectives of this association
Chapter 3: Membership
Article 5: The membership of this association shall consist of those who agree with its objectives. Members shall be classified as regular members, special members (students, graduate students, etc.), foreign members, and supporting members.
Article 6: Those wishing to join this association shall submit a prescribed application form with necessary information, along with the admission fee and annual membership fee, to the association's secretariat.
Article 7: Supporting members shall be individuals or corporations who support the objectives stated in Article 3 and pay the supporting membership fee stipulated in Article 18, subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
Article 8: Members who fail to pay annual membership fees for three years or more may be considered to have withdrawn from the association.
Article 9: This association may appoint advisors, honorary members, and honorary presidents.
Chapter 4: Officers
Article 10: This association shall have the following officers:
1. President: 1 person
2. Vice President: 1 person
3. Conference President: 1 person
4. Directors: Several persons
5. Auditors: 2 persons
Article 11: The organization and duties of officers shall be as follows:
1. The President shall represent the association and oversee its affairs.
2. The Vice President shall assist the President and act on behalf of the President in case of absence.
3. The Conference President shall be responsible for academic meetings.
4. Directors shall share the association's affairs.
5. Auditors shall audit the accounts.
Article 12: The selection of officers shall be as follows:
1. The President shall be elected by mutual vote of the Board of Directors and approved by the General Assembly.
2. The Vice President shall be appointed by the President from among the Directors and reported to the General Assembly.
3. Directors shall be selected from among the members, approved by the Board of Directors, and reported to the General Assembly.
4. Auditors shall be selected from among the members and approved by the General Assembly.
5. The Conference President shall be recommended by the Board of Directors from among the Directors and reported to the General Assembly.
6. For the time being, the method of selecting officers shall be determined separately.
Article 13: The terms of office for officers shall be as follows:
1. The terms of office for the President, Directors, and Auditors shall be three years, and they may be reappointed.
2. The term of office for the Conference President shall be one year.
Chapter 5: Meetings
Article 14: The Board of Directors shall be convened by the President at least once a year. The Board of Directors shall deliberate on the following matters and obtain approval at the General Assembly:
1. Business reports and financial statements
2. Business plans and budgets
3. Other matters deemed necessary
Article 15: The General Assembly shall be convened by the President once a year during the academic meeting period, and additionally as necessary. The General Assembly shall deliberate on and approve or resolve the following matters:
1. Election of the President and Auditors
2. Business reports and financial statements
3. Business plans and budgets
4. Other matters deemed necessary
Article 16: To achieve the objectives of this association, various committees and secretariats may be established, and cooperative projects may be implemented with the approval of the Board of Directors. Necessary matters concerning these shall be determined separately.
Chapter 6: Accounting and Membership Fees
Article 17: The expenses of this association shall be covered by membership fees and other income.
Article 18: The admission fee and annual membership fee for this association shall be determined separately.
Article 19: The financial statements and budget of this association must be approved by the General Assembly after deliberation by the Board of Directors.
Article 20: The fiscal year of this association shall begin on January 1 and end on December 31 of each year.
Chapter 7: Detailed Rules
Article 21: Detailed rules shall be established separately for the following matters:
1. Rules concerning the Editorial Committee
2. Rules concerning awards
3. Rules concerning cooperative projects
Chapter 8: Supplementary Provisions
Article 22: Changes to the bylaws must be approved by the General Assembly based on a resolution of the Board of Directors.
These bylaws shall come into effect on March 27, 1993.

Internal Regulations Concerning the Secretariat
1. The purpose of these internal regulations is as follows:
These internal regulations establish the location of the secretariat of the Japanese Association for Regenerative Hard Tissue Biology in accordance with Article 2 of the association's bylaws.
2. Secretariat
The main office of this association shall be located at: Department of Oral Pathology, Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Okayama University, 2-5-1 Shikata-cho, Kita-ku, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture.
Supplementary Provisions
1. These internal regulations shall come into effect on February 1, 2025.
